About the Opportunity:

As the Senior Finance Manager, you’ll be the dedicated finance partner to leaders across Engineering, Product, and Devices. This is a rare opportunity to shape the financial strategy behind both groundbreaking software innovation and the global deployment of hardware products like the Orb and OrbMini. Your work will directly influence the planning, prioritization, and execution of our product roadmap and device deployment strategies ensuring that our financial plan aligns with innovation.

This role sits at the intersection of innovation and scale, requiring both strong business acumen and curiosity about how cutting-edge products are built, deployed, and evolved.

In this Role, You Will:

  • Act as the dedicated finance partner to Engineering, Product, and Device leadership, providing guidance on budgeting, headcount planning, and strategic investments.

  • Develop financial models to support roadmap planning, resourcing decisions, manufacturing scale-up, and ROI analysis.

  • Drive investment cases and scenario planning for emerging technologies, hardware production, and global deployment efforts.

  • Lead asset management modeling, inventory tracking, and unit economics across multiple regions.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders—including Operations and GTM teams to align financial resources with short- and long-term objectives.

  • Partner with HR, People Ops, and Recruiting to support headcount planning, hiring prioritization, and capacity modeling.

  • Build and maintain dashboards and KPIs that track engineering efficiency, device performance, product delivery, and overall financial health.

  • Lead forecasting and variance analysis for R&D, product, engineering and hardware spend, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.

  • Prepare high-impact materials for executives and board-level reporting with clear narratives around investment strategy, operational performance, and business impact.

  • Establish scalable financial processes that support rapid growth, operational maturity, and global expansion.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA is a strong plus.

  • 10+ years of progressive FP&A experience, with at least 3 years directly supporting Engineering, Product, R&D, or hardware/device functions.

  • Strong financial modeling expertise with the ability to translate complex technical and operational plans into actionable financial insights.

  • Deep understanding of R&D cost structures, software/hardware development lifecycles, and global manufacturing economics.

  • Proven track record partnering with cross-functional teams to influence strategic and operational decisions.

  • Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and Google Suite; strong experience with planning tools and ERP systems.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical, operational, and executive audiences.

  • A strategic, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity, build new processes, and thrive in fast-paced environments.
