We are seeking a highly disciplined, technically elite Digital Assets Custody Operator to serve as the guardian of eToro’s multi-asset portfolio.
This is not a typical operations role. You will operate at the very heart of our security architecture, blending precise technical execution with a high-level security mindset. You will be responsible for executing complex cryptographic procedures in secure environments while simultaneously designing the future of our security architecture.

What You Will Do
You will manage the full lifecycle of assets across our Cold, Warm, and Hot tiers, ensuring operational liquidity while designing defenses for new blockchain products.
1. Operational Excellence & Liquidity Management
- Execute air-gapped transactions using HSM-based hardware, strictly adhering to security principles and managing physical access to our secure vault.
- Manage daily treasury flows and liquidity using Hot wallets, ensuring assets are available for trading within strict policy limits.
- Act as a trusted keyholder in sensitive Key Generation Ceremonies, ensuring entropy and secrecy.
- Support daily reconciliation of blockchain balances against internal ledgers to immediately investigate and resolve discrepancies.
2. Security Architecture & Integration
- Define how we integrate with custody technology providers to ensure zero-trust security and design the Policy Rules (TAP) that govern asset movements.
- Proactively identify potential threats to our wallet infrastructure and design robust mitigations to prevent breaches.
- Understand and implement secure architectures for new blockchain products, including Staking (managing slashing risks/withdrawal keys), DeFi access, and NFT support.
3. Innovation & Research
- Conduct deep dives into new blockchains (e.g., Solana, Sui. etc.) to understand their specific consensus mechanisms and security models before integration.
- Utilize advanced Linux and CLI skills to configure secure offline machines, troubleshoot hardware, and manage the technical environment of the custody suite.
Requirements
We are looking for a smart, security-first operator who can explain complex risks and handle critical infrastructure.
Technical & Domain Expertise
- Cryptography Knowledge: You understand the difference between MPC and Multi-Sig technology.
- DeFi & Staking Mastery: You know the risks of Staking and can clearly explain concepts like "Impermanent Loss" or "Slashing".
- You are comfortable working in a Linux environment, using command-line interfaces (CLI), and handling basic networking.
- Wallet Experience: You have hands-on experience with Ledger/Trezor, understand "seed phrases," know how gas fees work, and can distinguish between token standards (e.g., ERC20 vs. TRC20).
- Problem Solver: You are curious, you ask questions when things don't look right, and you are capable of troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues.
Nice to Have
- Experience with GK8, Fireblocks, or Utila.
- Background in IT, SOC, NOC, or military technology units.
