We are constantly growing and are excited to share that we are looking for a Customer Service FATCA/CRS Specialist to join our team!

The successful candidate will be responsible for the monitoring of US persons (FATCA) and CRS changes in circumstance indications, communicating with clients and collecting up to date tax self certification from the clients, including tax ID numbers, W-8BEN and W-9 forms.

This role is crucial to ensure that the company complies with the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and the Common Reporting Standard (CRS).

What will you be doing?

  • Conducting daily monitoring and analysis of customer transactions and activity to identify any potential issues related to CRS (Common Reporting Standard) and FATCA (Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act) compliance
  • Communicating with customers via email and phone calls to obtain updated tax self-certifications if needed, including tax ID numbers, W-8BEN, and W-9 forms
  • Collaborating with other team members and departments to ensure effective implementation of FATCA and CRS compliance procedures
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all FATCA and CRS compliance activities
  • Performing data validation checks for reporting purposes, specifically related to FATCA and CRS
  • Assisting with handling customer inquiries and escalations related to tax matters
  • Keeping up to date with changes in regulations related to tax reporting and financial crime prevention
  • Maintaining good communication with other internal departments to ensure smooth coordination and resolution of FATCA and CRS related issues
  • Handling account maintenance and closures in accordance with internal policies and procedures
  • Reporting to the Financial Crime Operations Team Leader and assisting with the overall FATCA/CRS Compliance Program

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to interpret, decide and draw conclusions from data and communication with clients
  • Fluent in English (read, write and speak). Additional languages will be considered an advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office and Google workspace tools
  • Data analysis skills, including the use of vlookup formulas and PIVOT tables is a plus
  • Team player, open minded and willingness to learn and take initiative and ownership
  • Ability to read and understand policies and procedures, regulations, legislation and basic tax and finance principles
  • Strong sense of professionalism, organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
