We are constantly growing and are excited to share that we are looking for a Tax Analyst to join our team!

What will you be doing?

  • Responsible for executing the annual reporting including data gathering, validation checks, file preparations and uploads, timely distribution of forms, including but not limited to FATCA, CRS reporting and QI regime reporting obligations (eg.1099, 1042-S, 1042, 945 and 1120-F, 8966)
  • Responsible for the customer Tax Report queue including escalations to vendors and to internal technical support as per the designated processes
  • Tax withholding procedures - daily, weekly, monthly and yearly procedures, including tax payment calculations, reconciliations, adjustments and corrections
  • Address the escalations of customer related tax inquiries and serve as a member of the subject matter expert team
  • Assist in determining the tax implications for our crypto products, such as forks, staking, transfers, and sales and initiate and support process enhancements collaborating with customer-facing teams, product, and dev ops as related to crypto tax reporting
  • Assist with liaising with customer facing regional managers and potential local tax partners for the eToro tax partner program and maintaining relationships with partners – including monthly calls and webinars
  • Maintain standard operating procedures
  • Report and work closely to the Tax Operations Manager & assist with the overall conduct of the Group Tax Compliance Program

Requirements

  • 2+ years – Working in the financial services industry or accounting or audit firm
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or other related field
  • Possess knowledge of the CRS, FATCA and QI compliance framework as well as IRS and other tax authorities regulations.
  • General understanding of the FinTech industry, broker dealer, and crypto businesses
  • Solid communication and analytical skills with the ability to develop effective relationships with external and internal partners
  • Ability to effectively manage several priorities and adapt to a fast changing environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office and Google workspace tools
  • Data analysis skills, including the use of vlookup formulas and PIVOT tables
  • Direct working experience in informational tax reporting – in financial services (bank, brokerage, payment processing) will be considered an advantage
  • Fluent in English (read, write and speak)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Cryptocurrency, foreign exchange, and securities market industry experience
  • Strong understanding of blockchain technology and mechanics
