About Zuba
About the role
We're looking for a Treasury Analyst to work alongside our Head of Finance on the operational heartbeat of Zuba β moving money across borders, managing liquidity across currencies and stablecoins, and making sure our payout partners are funded on time, every time.
This isn't a typical graduate finance role. You won't be reconciling spreadsheets in a back office. You'll be managing real cash flows across GBP, EUR, USD, and USDT, prefunding payout partners in Nigerian Naira and other African currencies, and monitoring FX exposure that moves daily. On day one, you'll have more responsibility over real money than most people get in their first five years.
A few reasons why you might find this exciting:
Real money from day one β you'll be tracking and moving cash across fiat currencies and stablecoins. Not simulations, not models β actual treasury operations powering payments across Africa.
Crypto-native finance β we use stablecoins as settlement rails. You'll develop hands-on experience with USDT, digital asset custody, and how blockchain is reshaping cross-border payments.
Founder-level exposure β you'll work directly with the CEO and Head of Finance daily. In a team of ~15, your work is visible and your impact is immediate.
Learn the full stack β treasury is the entry point, but you'll be exposed to FP&A, accounting, investor reporting, and financial strategy across multiple jurisdictions. This is a finance education you can't get at a big company.
What you'll do
Monitor daily cash positions across bank accounts and stablecoin wallets (GBP, EUR, USD, USDT)
Execute prefunding to payout partners in African currencies, managing settlement timing and minimising idle cash
Track and flag FX exposure across corridors, supporting hedging decisions
Reconcile partner payouts daily β matching what we sent, what partners received, and what reached end recipients
Build and maintain treasury dashboards and cash flow forecasts
Support month-end close processes, including bank reconciliations and intercompany transactions
Help prepare financial data for board reporting and investor materials
Assist with onboarding new banking and payout partners from a finance perspective
Who you are
You're numerate and detail-oriented β you notice when numbers don't add up. You're the person who spots the rounding error in a 500-row spreadsheet.
You're comfortable with ambiguity β we're building this function from scratch. There's no handbook. You'll help write it.
You're operationally minded β you care about things working, not just being correct on paper. If a payment is stuck, you want to know why and fix it.
You're curious about crypto and payments β you don't need to be an expert, but you should understand why stablecoins exist and why cross-border payments are broken. If you've used Wise, Remitly, or sent USDT to a friend, even better.
You're a fast learner β treasury, FX, and stablecoin accounting aren't taught at university. We'll teach you. You need to pick it up quickly.
You're reliable β treasury is time-sensitive. Partners need funding on time. This role requires someone who shows up, follows through, and doesn't let things slip.
Bonus points for:
A quantitative degree (finance, economics, maths, engineering, sciences)
Any exposure to FX markets, trading, or financial services
Personal experience with crypto (DeFi, stablecoins, wallets)
Excel proficiency (you'll live in spreadsheets before we build proper tooling)
Experience with accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite)
What we offer
πΈ Competitive salary + meaningful equity
π’ Central London office (potential NY relocation)
π Global exposure & impact

Our hiring process
We keep it fast and transparent.
Intro chat (30 mins) with Josiah (CEO & Co-Founder) and Ali (Head of Finance) β informal discussion about your background, what interests you about treasury and payments, and what you're looking for. An opportunity to get a sense of the role, the team, and how we work.
Work trial (2 days) β the best way to see if we're a good fit is to work together. You'll spend two days with us at our Central London office, working on real problems alongside the team. Feel free to ask questions β you'll be part of the team for the trial.
Offer. If all goes well, we'll extend an offer and can't wait to welcome you aboard!
