🛠️ Responsibilities

• Design, fine-tune, and optimize large language models (LLMs) specifically for on-call engineering and reliability use cases.
• Continuously conduct greenfield research in the AI space, advise the founding team on the roadmap, and help strengthen the AI fluency of the the team overall.
• Collaborate closely with product engineers to develop end-to-end AI-powered workflows that are reliable, responsible, and highly performant against measurable metrics.
• Build and optimize robust data infrastructure to process high-volume structured and unstructured system data.

📋 Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with software engineering and at least one year specifically with modern LLMs (e.g., Claude, GPT-4, Llama 3) OR 3+ years working more generally in AI/ML.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, Python, Go, or Kotlin, and extensive experience building distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
• Proven data engineering expertise with large-scale data pipelines, embedding strategies, vector databases, and search technologies for AI applications.
• Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals, including transformers architecture, deep learning principles, and self-supervised learning approaches.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, or related technical field; Master's or PhD preferred.

➕ Additional Information

• Base salary will be based on experience and in the range of $125k-$175k, combined with founding hire equity.
