Suade is seeking an experienced Head of Sales to further our rapid growth trajectory. We are a market-leading regtech company with cutting-edge technology that automates regulatory reporting, compliance and financial risk solutions for global institutions. We serve Tier 1 banks across Europe, North America, and Asia.

You will ideally have a background in consultative enterprise software selling into the financial services industry.

Location: UK (in-person) or North America (hybrid/remote). You will be expected to travel regularly.

Objectives of this role

This is an executive role reporting to the CEO. The Head of Sales will be responsible for all sales activity worldwide. You will work with other company leaders to shape the company’s strategy, improve company-wide performance and lead by example. You will be a hands-on leader who gets things done and is ultimately accountable for the successful operation of the commercial machine.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute our commercial strategy, helping to identify new product opportunities and new market opportunities for new customers
  • Contribute hands-on to the delivery of the commercial strategy, leading pitches and closing deals
  • Work with company leaders to set and achieve ambitious ARR targets, both at company level and for salespeople, for which you will be accountable
  • Oversee our geographical expansion, especially into North America
  • Motivate, manage and grow the sales team to facilitate ARR growth
  • Oversee recruitment for the sales team
  • Lead weekly cadence of group and individual meetings with members of the sales team, to ensure ARR targets are on-track
  • Oversee account management plans with sales account executives
  • Continually build and improve lead generation, closing business, and metric tracking processes
  • Attend industry events and conferences to generate new business leads, acting as a spokesperson for the company
  • Network with company contacts and partners, as well as your own network, in order to generate new business for the company
  • Report weekly and monthly on sales activity and performance against budget
  • Develop a 30-60-90 day plan to execute in your first 3 months

Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous experience successfully managing consultative sales teams in B2B SaaS in a similar industry
  • Proven track record of achieving ARR targets and driving sales growth
  • Proven track record developing an efficient and successful sales organization
  • Strong leadership skills and an ability to inspire sales teams
  • Subject matter knowledge on prudential regulatory reporting and/or extensive software systems experience
  • Excellent knowledge of CRM software and reporting (ideally Salesforce)
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff in a way that is easy to understand
  • Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Previous experience working for a competitor in a similar position, or in a consulting role in regulatory reporting, would be a strong advantage
