The Linux Orchestrator is key to maintaining, upgrading and managing our software, hardware and networks. You will use your resourcefulness to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently whilst diagnosing and resolving problems quickly. You will work with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users, so patience and communication are key.

To stand out you can have:

• Able to conduct an orchestra of Linux micro-services as if it was Beethoven's 5th. Experience using Docker and related tools to build, manage, update and monitor robust services in containers on clouds
• A polyglot programmer who is happy to work in multiple languages to get the job done best. We use Go, but Python or Bash is very heavily used.
• Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
• Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
• Able to automate and improve Agile, TDD and CI processes to deploy to cloud providers. We use Gitlab
• Able to tune and configure an SOA infrastructure of open source tools to optimize for performance, reliability and stability
• Knowledge of TCP, UDP, HTTP, iptables, ssh tunnels, nginx configuration, Prometheus, XML, Kubernetes, Ansible, Podman
• How to build and maintain Debian and Red Hat packages
• Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
