DevOps Engineer (Athens, Hybrid)

The role is hybrid and full-time, based in Athens.

Role Description

As an engineer in norbloc’s DevOps team, you will be part of the implementation team and take up responsibilities in the deployment of norbloc products for our customers. You will be responsible for analyzing and resolving deployment-related production issues involving configuration, API, network connectivity, and security, as well as supporting our team with complex technical requests.

An essential part of your work will be analyzing infrastructure performance, identifying bottlenecks, and proposing effective resolutions. This includes designing and implementing monitoring tools to ensure constant supervision of key ecosystem parameters.

Your activities will focus on norbloc’s internal cloud infrastructure, existing customer installations (both cloud and on-premise), and upcoming projects in the implementation pipeline.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Acquire in-depth knowledge of the norbloc product suite, including product functionalities and the complex interdependencies between software components and infrastructure specifications.
• Perform deployments of software (all deployments are container-based).
• Handle DevOps activities during both implementation and production phases.
• Interact with customer technical teams to understand their requests and reported issues.
• Collaborate with norbloc’s development team to fine-tune software based on customer infrastructure needs.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of monitoring tools required for norbloc product deployments.
• Implement and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Assist the norbloc team with internal cloud infrastructure requests.

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps activities, preferably in Cloud Engineering and Cloud Services (experience with Azure, GCP, or AWS is a plus).
• Proven experience in performing container-based deployments (Kubernetes or OpenShift experience is a plus).
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL and MS-SQL).
• Familiarity with most of our deployment stack: Linux administration, Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Redis, Bash and Python scripting, Ansible, and Jenkins.
• Familiarity with the following platforms is a plus: OpenShift, testing suites (e.g., Katalon, Cypress, Pytest).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
