🙌 Your Mission

As a Financial Controller at Nala, you will play a key role in overseeing financial reporting across multiple regions, ensuring accuracy and compliance in a complex regulatory environment. With operations spanning various jurisdictions, this role is essential in maintaining financial integrity and providing strategic insights to support business growth.

You will be responsible for reviewing financial statements, identifying discrepancies, and preparing reports for management. Your expertise will help refine financial processes, enhance reporting accuracy, and ensure compliance with local and international regulations.

🎯 Your Responsibilities in this Role

  • Review financial reports prepared by accountants, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Oversee financial reporting compliance across multiple entities (UK, US, Netherlands, Australia).
  • Assess financial reporting deadlines and compliance requirements, particularly in preparation for the company’s launch in Australia.
  • Work with local financial service providers to evaluate their quality and ensure compliance.
  • Identify and stay updated on relevant compliance laws for different jurisdictions.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to senior management to support decision-making.

🔥 Must-have Requirements

  • Minimum of 6–7 years’ experience in a similar role, overseeing financial reporting for multiple entities.
  • Experience in international financial compliance, particularly in multi-entity environments.
  • Strong background in audit preferred (Big 4 experience advantageous).
  • Accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) preferred.
  • Experience working with mid-sized international companies (not large corporates).
  • Ability to assess financial service providers and ensure high-quality compliance standards.

💪 Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Experience in audit, providing a strong foundation in financial standards and best practices.
  • Background in international companies managing multiple entities.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment with diverse regulatory requirements.

2. [45 mins] Interview with the Finance Manager

  • An in-depth discussion focused on your technical expertise, financial reporting knowledge, and compliance experience.

3. [2 hours] Home Task

  • A practical financial assessment designed to evaluate your analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.

4. [45 mins] Final Interview with the Head of Finance

  • A discussion of your task results and overall suitability for the role.
