Every company is becoming a fintech. Mural is the global account layer that powers their financial stack—helping businesses hold, move, and reconcile money across borders without the friction that slows everyone else down.

We're moving fast, the business is growing, and we need someone to own the financial engine behind it.

What You'll Do

You'll be our first dedicated finance hire. That means building from scratch—the models, the processes, the relationships, and the institutional knowledge that will underpin how we operate and grow. You'll work directly with our founders and leadership team, with a clear path to grow into a Head of Finance as we scale.

Internal Finance & Operations

You own the numbers. Financial modeling, revenue and margin analysis, cash flow, burn rate, unit economics—you build these and keep them sharp as the business evolves. You'll translate raw data into clear insights that drive real decisions, and you'll build the systems that make this repeatable.

External Relationships

You'll own our relationships with banks, exchanges, payment partners, and other financial counterparties. That means negotiating terms, managing ongoing relationships, and making sure our external financial infrastructure is as strong as our product.

Regulatory & Compliance Reporting

We hold money transmission licenses, and you'll own the financial reporting and audit processes that come with them. This is non-trivial, important work—and you'll be the person who makes sure we stay ahead of it.

Fundraising Support

When we're in a capital raise, you're a key part of the process. You'll own the data room, handle investor Q&A, and make sure our financial story is crisp, accurate, and compelling.

Who You Are

You have an applied finance background—you've worked in banking, fintech, or a high-growth startup and you know the difference between building a model that looks good and one that actually runs the business.

You have high agency. You don't wait to be told what to do. You see a gap, you fill it. You see a problem, you solve it. You move fast without cutting corners.

You learn quickly and own deeply. The domain—stablecoins, global payments, money transmission—is specific. You don't need to know all of it on day one, but you need to be the kind of person who goes deep fast and takes real ownership over what you learn.

You're equally comfortable in the weeds and in the room. You can build a cash flow model at 10pm and present it to leadership at 9am. You know when to be precise and when to be fast, and you rarely get those two confused.

Startup experience is a must. You've operated in an early-stage environment, you know what it means to build without a blueprint, and you don't need a large team around you to execute.
