The role in a nutshell:
As a Treasury Engineer at Luno, you'll be at the heart of our 24/7 trading operation, transforming innovative strategies into robust production systems and optimising our market-making capabilities to put our customers first. Join us and make a tangible impact on building a new global financial system.
Your mission will be:

Strategy Development & Implementation: Collaborate with quants to prioritise, build, and productionise trading strategies and POCs.

Market Making: Develop and automate internal transfer and market-making logic.

Maintenance & Optimisation: Maintain and enhance existing Go-based strategies, pricing schemes, and exchange behaviours.

Configuration: Add and refine console parameters to optimise for volume, spread, profit, or rebalancing.

Quality & Governance: Maintain regression tests, ensure compliance, and document strategy performance and parameterisation.

Delivery & Alignment: Own project delivery from design to production, aligning outcomes with OKRs and Treasury objectives.

Collaboration: Partner with Product and Engineering Managers to ensure priorities and timelines are realistic.

Coaching: Mentor engineers on Treasury-related systems and best practices.
A little about you:

Experience: Proven software engineer experience with a strong background or interest in financial systems, particularly trading and treasury operations.

Technical Skills: Proficient in Python, with solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and large-scale system design.

Domain Knowledge: Understanding of treasury operations and trading strategy implementation.

Change Leadership: Proven ability to drive technical and architectural improvements across teams.

Collaboration: Strong leadership, facilitation, and communication skills, fostering teamwork, transparency, and continuous improvement.
