Founded in 2014, Ledger is the global platform for digital assets and Web3. Over 20% of the world’s crypto assets are secured through our Ledger devices. We are looking for a Staff Front-End Engineer to join the Wallet Experience business unit. Within the Live Hub squad, you will take a major role in building and maintaining a UI kit used in Ledger Live and other products. You will also work on new features for the wallet on both Ledger Live Mobile and Ledger Live Desktop.
You will closely collaborate with the Design Language System core team, designers, and developers from various teams to ensure a consistent, scalable, and visually appealing user interface across multiple products.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of front-end development, a passion for clean, scalable code, and an eye for detail when it comes to design consistency.
Your mission
- Drive the adoption of our Design Systems, collaborating with design, engineering, and product teams to build reusable UI components.
- Advocate for the performance, accessibility, and usability of our Design Systems and applications
- Act as the representative of your team in company-wide design system discussions.
- Work on new features on the Ledger Live wallet/.
- Mentor Engineers, review code, and contribute to our team’s technical strategy.
What we're looking for :
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in software development
- Previous experience in building a UI Kit shared across multiple teams, including component libraries and design tokens.
- Advanced Javascript and CSS knowledge
- Proficiency in React development and in testing strategies
- Awareness of web accessibility standardsExpertise in Responsive and Adaptive Design
- Ability to promote consistency and reusability across products, thoroughly review contributions, and question processes
- Familiarity with Design System tools such as Figma and Storybook
- A passion for building delightful user experiences
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work across teams and influence technical decisions.
Nice to have :
- Knowledge of React Native styling specificities
- Experience with Typescript, Github Actions, Chromatic, Zeroheight
