Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and analytical Senior FP&A Analyst to join Jiko’s Finance team. This person will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and strategic analysis. The ideal candidate has worked in financial services or fintech, and has experience excelling at financial modeling, reporting, and analysis. Individuals who have a desire to grow and learn, and are hard-working and resourceful, will be especially successful as the position involves working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
This role reports to the CFO and is a critical contributor to our financial planning processes, helping Jiko allocate resources, measure performance, and execute its strategic vision.
Responsibilities
- Forecasting & Budgeting: Lead the development of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial models.
- Performance Monitoring: Track financial and operational KPIs across teams; build dashboards and scorecards to support transparency and accountability.
- Strategic Analysis: Deliver data-driven insights to support key initiatives, new product launches, pricing strategy, and capital planning.
- Business Partnership: Collaborate closely with functional leads (e.g., Product, Sales and Marketing, Engineering, Risk, Operations) to inform planning and resource decisions.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly financial reports and board-level materials; support investor reporting as needed.
- Scenario Modeling: Evaluate impact of various business cases, stress scenarios, and sensitivities on revenue, costs, and capital needs.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to FP&A tools, systems, and processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, investment banking, management consulting, or corporate finance; startup or financial services experience strongly preferred.
- Exceptional Excel and financial modeling skills; familiarity with accounting systems and FP&A tools like Adaptive Insights or Anaplan is a plus.
- Clear understanding of financial statements, general accounting principles, and key business metrics.
- Experience analyzing complex data sets and translating insights into actionable recommendations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
