As a Legal Counsel Intern at DraftKings, you will work with the in-house legal team to assist in all legal aspects of DraftKings. This position provides an outstanding opportunity to work in a dynamic company and gain experience in a corporate and legal environment. Sound good to you? Join us.

What you’ll do as a Legal Counsel Intern:

  • Draft, review, and coordinate commercial teams in transactional matters and contract drafting.

  • Advise internal business, marketing, and public relations teams on compliance with various legal regimes.

  • Assist corporate counsel with diligence, research, and negotiation of corporate transactions.

  • Investigate factual issues pertaining to claims.

What you'll bring:

  • Currently a JD candidate in law school at an ABA-accredited institution.

  • Excellent negotiation, contract drafting, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, you act decisively providing concise advice consistent with DraftKings’ business objectives.

  • Ability to provide sound legal judgment.

  • Interact effectively with the team, bringing with you a sense of humor and positive can-do attitude

The US hourly rate for this full-time position is 24.00 USD - 30.00 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The compensation information displayed on each job posting reflects the range for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
