The Crown Is Yours
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Feeds Team at DraftKings, you'll play a key role in designing and delivering systems that connect DraftKings to the world. You'll work on high-performance, scalable software that processes data from external providers (game schedules, player rosters, injuries, etc.) and enables the seamless automation of trading operations. This role offers exposure to diverse projects, ownership of critical services, and the opportunity to shape DraftKings' foundational systems while working with cutting-edge technologies.
What you’ll do as a Senior Software Engineer
Design and develop high-performing APIs and distributed systems using C# .NET Core, emphasizing asynchronous programming and efficient memory management.
Integrate data from external providers and ensure seamless delivery across internal services.
Create scalable, fault-tolerant solutions to handle millions of daily transactions and real-time updates.
Own specific services within the Feeds ecosystem, from conception to production.
Mentor and collaborate with other engineers, fostering a culture of code quality and technical excellence.
Proactively contribute to system architecture decisions, focusing on system reliability and scalability.
What you’ll bring
5+ years of professional experience in object-oriented programming with C#.
Hands-on experience with asynchronous programming, multithreading, and distributed systems.
Solid problem-solving skills, with the ability to think through large, interconnected systems.
A passion for understanding the “big picture” and delivering impactful solutions.
Proficiency with message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) and event-driven architectures.
