About us

We will see more innovation in payments in the next 10 years than the last 1,000 years and Immersve is uniquely positioned to lead this evolution. It provides a seamless bridge between real life and Metaverse payments through a single decentralised protocol.

Immersve.com enables holders of cryptocurrencies, tokens and DeFi / Game-FI earning; held in NFT wallets, exchanges or various protocols to leverage their holdings in local Fiat currency to spend at real life merchants or transact in the Metaverse with their Agents or Avatars.

In addition, its has the added cool that people will have the ability to forge their favourite NFT on it, display your handle (not name) and earn a configurable real time reward, that are relevant to the community (such as tokens or NFTs or even stablecoins).

Immersve will pioneer at pace, delivering features and integrations for a unified payment experience across web2 / 3 and the Metaverse.

The design is one of privacy first products and experiences that will be as decentralised as practically possible, with open source code, APIs and multi-chain protocols enabling anyone to extend or build on top of.

The Founders and backers are global VCs and internationally recognised leaders in this space. You will work directly with them and they will invest time to teach and support you.

The Role

As a Team lead and full stack software engineer you will be involved with managing the day-to-day activities of your team to create an efficient and effective working environment. You will also be responsible for ensuring our codebase continues to maintain high quality and scalability for future development of APIs, UIs, IaC, tests and other such keys parts to the engineering department and business as a whole. You will be part of the mentoring programme to help guide less experienced engineers through their growth and communicate regularly with stakeholders to ensure alignment on goals and progress in a highly-collaborative, remote-first environment based in and around Auckland, NZ.Key considerations for the role:

You work comfortably full stack — from cloud infrastructure and database to APIs and UIs. You may not be familiar with all our tech stack but are interested in learning. You may have exposure or be curious about blockchain and smart contract development.

You embrace a continuous delivery mindset — working in small batches, verifying the correctness of your work at each increment. You are comfortable contributing to high level technical designs and mentoring others.
