The design is one of privacy first products and experiences that will be as decentralised as practically possible, with open source code, APIs and multi-chain protocols enabling anyone to extend or build on top of.

The Founders and backers are global VCs and internationally recognised leaders in this space. You will work directly with them and they will invest time to teach and support you.

The Role

As a Senior blockchain software engineer you will be involved with designing, implementing and distributing secure digital blockchain solutions that fit the needs of Immersve. You will be working with a growing team of senior engineers in a highly-collaborative, remote-first environment based in and around Auckland, NZ.

Key considerations for the role:

  • Collaborating with the team to determine blockchain technology needs and envisaged functionalities ✅
  • Documenting the development process and educating others on blockchain features for secure digital payments 📖 🧑‍🏫
  • Keeping up with current blockchain technologies and applying the latest cryptology techniques for security 🔒
  • Full CI/CD with multiple daily deploys to production, including day one! 🚀
  • Be a contributor to all aspects of the product, from initial design 🤔 to roadmap scoping and delivery 📦

    You are first and foremost a team player 🥰

    You are also an excellent coder with extensive knowledge in cryptography and blockchain protocols, who is keen on shaping technology and culture in a growing team. You are able to work independently in face of unknowns, taking initiative to reach out to stakeholders and expose requirements.

    You work comfortably full stack — from cloud infrastructure and database to APIs and UIs. You may not be familiar with all our tech stack but are interested in learning. You may have exposure or be curious about blockchain and smart contract development.

    You embrace a continuous delivery mindset — working in small batches, verifying the correctness of your work at each increment. You are comfortable contributing to high level technical designs and mentoring others.

    • Application Process

    2 interviews, 1 coding task. First is a general interview, then the coding task. The second interview is technical, going over code from the task and discussing other technical questions.
