As part of Djamo’s regional expansion, we are hiring a Fraud & Credit Risk – Tech Lead to drive our data science strategy at the core of our credit and fraud operations.
Your Role
Reporting to the Head of Lending (Nicolas Berthozat), you will own the vision, design, and execution of Djamo’s data science strategy for credit risk and fraud, while leading and scaling the credit-focused data science team.
You will operate at the crossroads of technology, product, credit, and business, with a direct impact on portfolio performance, customer experience, and the robustness of Djamo’s risk framework.
Your main responsibilities
Data science → Design, evaluate, deploy, and monitor the performance of credit scoring, fraud detection, pricing, and operational collection optimisation models.
Business & product → Use your business expertise to suggest practical improvements for operations and credit products. Translate business challenges into concrete and actionable data issues.
Steering & roadmap → Co-develop the Risk & Data Science roadmap with the product, tech, and credit teams. Steer execution and prioritize strategic projects.
Communication & governance → Make models understandable, explainable, and measurable. Establish clear indicators, dashboards, and structured communication with stakeholders. Contribute to regulatory and risk governance issues.
Leadership & team → Supervise and grow the credit data science team (currently one person). Establish solid technical standards, sustainable methods, and a culture of excellence.
Your Profile
- Relevant experience (5 years and above) within a "tier-1 ++" company, in the design and deployment of credit risk and/or fraud models in a real environment.
- Driven by ethical values and reflections on the world and our activity (this is essential for subjects like credit).
- Demanding, autonomous, and curious, enthusiastic, and joyful daily :).
- Ability to work in English and French.
