We are seeking a highly motivated Operations Manager to join our dynamic and growing Investment Operations team. This role offers the unique opportunity to contribute across a diverse portfolio spanning cryptocurrency, venture capital, public markets, and funds. As a key player in our operations, you will drive critical processes, enhance workflows, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the seamless execution of investments and trades.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in financial services operations, with a passion for crypto markets, venture investing, and emerging technologies. You will be instrumental in building scalable solutions that support the firm's growth while maintaining rigorous attention to detail and operational excellence.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

Investment & Trade Operations

  • Oversee daily custody and trade support for cryptocurrency, public market instruments, and venture investments, ensuring accurate trade settlement, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Oversee and approve high-value crypto and fiat transactions, applying operational due diligence and coordinating multi-party signoff for large-scale transfers.
  • Lead the onboarding and integration of new trading platforms, fund managers, and counterparties, establishing operational workflows and aligning compliance and risk protocols.
  • Develop and document scalable workflows and operational controls to support the expansion of the firm's investment activities across asset classes.

Venture & Fund Operations

  • Monitor and maintain venture capital and fund investments in the firm’s portfolio management system, ensuring timely and accurate data entry and updates.
  • Manage capital activity across venture and fund investments, coordinating closely with Finance and Accounting on calls, distributions, exit proceeds, and allocations.
  • Conduct portfolio performance modeling and attribution analysis, providing insights for both internal strategy and external reporting.
  • Engage with portfolio companies to collect KPIs, investor updates, and liquidity event details, supporting the firm’s active role in venture growth.
  • Assist in building operational solutions to manage the increasing volume and complexity of early-stage venture investments.

Risk, Compliance & Cross-Asset Oversight

  • Partner with compliance and legal teams to implement and maintain due diligence processes for crypto and venture investments.
  • Monitor and escalate operational risks across the portfolio, proactively identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  • Own preparation of audit deliverables across investment workflows, ensuring accurate documentation of fund flows, historical transactions, and control procedures.
  • Own cross-functional workflows in partnership with stakeholders across Investments, Trading, Legal, and Security, ensuring alignment on operational timelines, risk mitigation, and deliverables.

General & Strategic Contributions

  • Serve as the go-to problem-solver for operational escalations, applying structured thinking and cross-functional coordination to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Lead the design and deployment of innovative operational tools to streamline investment workflows and enhance reporting accuracy.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects that drive strategic growth, leveraging new technologies and operational best practices.

Leadership & Team Enablement

  • Act as a key point of contact for operational escalations and decision-making across asset classes.
  • Mentor and support junior team members through coaching, training, and development of best practices.
  • Take ownership of cross-functional workflows, driving continuous improvement in operational processes and internal communication.
  • Partner with senior leadership to evaluate and prioritize high-impact projects across Investment Operations.
  • Ensure proper documentation and knowledge transfer across the team, fostering resilience and scalability of processes.

Qualifications:

  • 8-10+ years of experience in investment operations, middle office, or fund operations within asset management, venture, or crypto-focused firms.
  • Proven ability to independently manage cross-asset operational workflows with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring or managing junior team members, and contributing to a collaborative, high-performance culture.
  • Strong understanding of trade lifecycle management, operational risk, and reconciliations across traditional and digital assets.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
  • Technical proficiency (e.g., comfort with SQL, data platforms, or scripting) is a plus, especially for reporting and process improvement initiatives.
