As we gear up for our next growth phase, we are seeking a Mobile App Developer to join our dedicated team and play a pivotal role in our journey.

Your role

We are seeking a Lead Mobile App Developer who embodies the spirit of collaboration, attention to detail, and proactive initiative to join our team. This role involves designing and developing high-quality mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile development, with expertise across a spectrum of technologies including Java, Swift, Kotlin, and React Native, with C++ knowledge being a notable advantage.

Your responsibilities will extend beyond just development; you will be a strong team player, working closely with our CTO, engineering team, and lead UX/UI designer. Together, you will innovate mobile solutions that not only achieve our business goals but also elevate user experience to new heights. Your acute attention to detail will ensure that every aspect of the application is honed to perfection, from its foundational code to its user interface.

A self-driven nature and the ability to take initiative are paramount, as you will navigate through the complexities of developing applications that are both technically sound and user-friendly. Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms, ensuring they meet our rigorous standards for security, user experience, and performance
• Utilize a variety of technologies and frameworks, including but not limited to React Native, Java, Swift, and Kotlin, to develop applications that offer optimal performance across all platforms
• Work closely with our lead UX/UI designer to translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code to ensure our app is not only powerful but also intuitive and user-friendly
• Implement robust testing strategies to ensure the application's quality and performance
• Monitor the performance of live apps and work on optimizing them for speed and efficiency
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs to enhance application performance
• Document all code changes and development processes to maintain a clear development history and facilitate future maintenance.

Skills & Experience

• Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Proven experience as a Mobile App Developer with a strong portfolio of released applications on the App Store or the Google Play store
• In-depth knowledge of React Native, Java, Swift, and Kotlin, and experience with third-party libraries and APIs
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
• Understanding of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) for mobile applications
• Excellent analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude
• Ability to perform in a team environment and contribute to collaborative team projects
• A proactive, team-oriented approach with a track record of delivering projects on time
• Ability to work during standard working hours, eastern time

Nice to have

• Past experience in C/C++, writing high performance code
• A strong interest in cybersecurity and/or knowledge of financial and payment systems integration for secure transactions within apps
• Prior experience in a startup environment, demonstrating flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing priorities
• Experience with analytics and performance monitoring tools to gather insights and improve app functionalities

Compensation: $150,000 - $200,000, with a comprehensive benefits package including bonus and equity.
