What you’ll be responsible for:
Circle is looking for a Compliance Manager to join its Compliance Operations team and oversee the day-to-day management and operation of Circle’s Compliance Operations team.
What you'll work on:
Managing day-to-day customer KYC, onboarding, customer risk rating, and periodic review operations across Circle products and entity types, including maintenance of procedures, playbooks, and operational readiness materials for new launches.
Managing and developing a team of analysts performing KYC activities, specialized due diligence, investigation support, and sanctions screening across multiple Circle entities and jurisdictions.
Managing investigation operations workflows, including case triage, transaction analysis support, offboarding referrals, and coordination of information requests tied to regulatory or law enforcement matters.
Overseeing sanctions operations execution, including screening, alert disposition, sanctions list updates, interdiction workflow management, and escalation of potential true matches.
Supporting the rollout and operationalization of onboarding and monitoring procedures for new product lines and customer types, including distributor, end-user, and merchant-level diligence requirements.
Executing transaction monitoring procedures, trigger-based review workflows, and escalation processes in line with program standards set by Compliance leadership.
Identifying opportunities to improve AML and sanctions operations through process enhancements, automation, tooling improvements, and responsible use of AI-assisted diligence.
Driving high standards of documentation, quality assurance, consistency, and audit readiness across onboarding, periodic review, investigations, and sanctions workflows.
Partnering cross-functionally with Product, Legal, Engineering, Risk, and Compliance stakeholders to support testing, operational readiness, and phased product launches across geographies.
Leveraging AI tools to improve review efficiency and quality, including AI-generated risk summaries, memo drafting support, and automated alert triage to enhance decision-making and workflow throughput.
What you’ll bring to Circle:
7+ years of relevant experience in AML and KYC reviews for corporate customers, including designing, managing, and implementing scalable KYC processes and governance frameworks.
1+ years of experience managing teams of analysts, driving performance, quality, and operational excellence.
2+ years of relevant crypto experience
Demonstrated experience leveraging AI-enabled tools within compliance or KYC workflows, with the ability to implement responsible AI-driven enhancements while maintaining regulatory defensibility and strong internal controls.
A passion for harnessing the power of digital currency, blockchain technology, and emerging technologies — including AI — to modernize financial crime compliance operations.
An innovative and solution-oriented mindset, with a track record of identifying inefficiencies and implementing practical, technology-driven improvements.
Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders to operationalize compliance requirements into scalable systems.
Experience and comfort operating in a rapidly evolving regulatory and technological environment, with the agility to adapt to change and continuously upskill.
Strong leadership, relationship management, and project management skills, with the ability to drive initiatives from concept through implementation.
Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in RegTech, FinTech, consulting, or digital asset environments preferred.
CAMS, CFCS, CFE, or similar certification preferred.
Proficiency in Google Workspace, Slack, and Mac environment; familiarity with AI-assisted research or workflow tools strongly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree required; quantitative, technical, or data-oriented degree preferred.
This role is based in our Bangalore office and requires employees to work from the office on a regular basis.
