What you’ll be responsible for:
As a Staff IT Engineer, you will lead initiatives to integrate AI technologies into Circle’s IT ecosystem, optimizing SaaS systems, infrastructure, and global end-user support. You will collaborate cross-functionally to identify impactful AI use cases and drive adoption of automation, machine learning, and natural language tools that improve operations and service delivery. This role combines deep technical expertise with visionary leadership in the evolution of IT.
What you’ll work on:
Identify, scope, and lead AI initiatives that improve IT operations, automation, and user support
Design and implement automation to streamline IT processes and enhance scalability and security
Build and maintain API integrations and scripting solutions to optimize SaaS platforms
Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations to develop and deploy AI tools and use cases
Manage the full lifecycle of AI solutions—from prototyping and testing to deployment and monitoring
Introduce automation to reduce friction in internal IT workflows and cross-functional operations
Drive maturity of ITIL-aligned processes through tooling, documentation, and collaboration
Lead “build vs. buy” decisions for AI and integration tools, aligning with business and technical goals
What you’ll bring to Circle:
Core Requirements:
Hands-on experience developing and deploying AI tools, including machine learning or NLP models
Familiarity with AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, or cloud-based AI services)
7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, SaaS administration, or IT operations
4+ years in a customer support or service delivery environment
Expertise with Okta as an identity provider and IAM platform
Deep understanding of SSO, authentication flows, and IT security best practices
Preferred Requirements:
Experience leading cross-functional AI or automation initiatives in enterprise environments
Proficiency with scripting, API integrations, and cloud-native infrastructure
Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and experience driving IT process maturity

Starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to: relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note that compensation ranges may differ for candidates in other locations.
Base Pay Range: $130,000 - $170,000
