Reimagine access. Reimagine ownership. Build the future with Cinch.
Cinch is Southeast Asia's leading circular tech subscription company, redefining how people and businesses access technology. Instead of adding to the growing e-waste crisis, we enable affordable, sustainable access to devices through subscriptions that maximize reuse and extend their lifecycle.
We operate across B2C, B2B, and B2B2C channels, including major partnerships with global leaders like Samsung. Our model sits at the intersection of powerful mega trends—sustainability, embedded finance, and the shift from ownership to access—creating a massive opportunity to reshape the future of tech consumption.
At Cinch, we are builders with high standards, a bias for action, and a shared mission to create a generational company that outlasts us. Freshly funded by leading institutional investors and growing rapidly, we're creating an environment where ambitious people can do the best work of their careers—and where the work has real, lasting impact.
The Role
Cinch is a Series A circular-tech and Device-as-a-Service company headquartered in Singapore, giving consumers and businesses subscription access to devices across Singapore and Malaysia. We are growing across markets and building our infrastructure in parallel.
We are hiring a Finance Lead to own the group's finance engine end to end: the month-end close, the order-to-cash and procure-to-pay cycles, the systems that feed the ledger, compliance across entities, and treasury. You will lead a team of Finance Executives and be the person who makes sure our systems, processes and books agree with each other as we scale.

What You'll Own
Financial close and reporting
- Own the month-end close across group entities, delivering complete, reconciled financial statements accurately and on time.
- Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet schedules, intercompany transactions and consolidation support.
- Support variance commentary and analysis for management reporting.
- Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts, and safeguard the integrity of financial data in the accounting system.
- Lead the finance team, with the order-to-cash and procure-to-pay cycles run by Finance Executives.
- Own the interface between the two cycles, making sure dependencies are defined, understood and observed.
- Allocate daily work, review output, and onboard and develop team members.
- Resolve process breakdowns where finance meets other cross-functional teams.
- Act as the finance owner for the systems that feed the ledger: procurement and purchase orders, billing and receivables, fixed assets, and operational data reporting. Keep them aligned to each other and to the accounting records.
- Identify breaks and inconsistencies between systems, specify the fix, and drive it to resolution with internal stakeholders.
- Define finance requirements for new system implementations, integrations and feature releases, and test them before rollout.
- Improve workflows so manual intervention, rework and reconciliation effort fall over time.
- Own group compliance, tracking statutory, tax and regulatory obligations across entities and jurisdictions.
- Prepare indirect tax workpapers (e.g. GST, SST, WHT) and support the corporate tax cycle.
- Coordinate corporate secretarial filings and maintain statutory records.
- Maintain the finance governance and internal controls framework and its supporting procedures, and spot control gaps before process changes go live.
- Prepare monthly payment requests and schedules, so obligations are met in full and on time.
- Oversee intercompany settlements, funding arrangements, cash pooling and internal loan portfolios across regional and global entities.
- Own the fixed asset register: capitalisation, depreciation, disposals, and reconciliation of asset costs to supplier invoices.
- Drive AI and automation adoption across finance. Find where it removes effort, build or specify the solution, and set the standard for how AI output is reviewed and evidenced before anyone relies on it.
- Support new market entries and product launches with finance process design.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and fundraising or due diligence exercises as needed.
- Take on other duties and cross-functional tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, plus a professional qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent).
- 7+ years in finance or accounting, including at least 2 leading a team, ideally in a high-growth startup or scale-up.
- Hands-on experience running month-end close and consolidation across multiple entities and currencies, including intercompany.
- Working knowledge of indirect tax and withholding tax across the region (e.g. Singapore GST, Malaysia SST, WHT), and comfort coordinating corporate secretarial and statutory filings.
- Experience owning finance-side systems (ERP or accounting software, billing and receivables, procurement, fixed assets) and spotting where they fall out of sync with the ledger.
- Track record of writing finance requirements for system changes and testing them before rollout.
- Practical treasury exposure: payment runs, intercompany funding and settlements.
- Strong internal controls mindset, and the ability to design controls that do not slow the business down.
- Clear communicator who can explain variances to non-finance stakeholders and resolve friction between finance and other teams.
- Curious about AI and automation, and disciplined about reviewing and evidencing its output.
- Experience with subscription, rental or device-as-a-service revenue models.
- Exposure to fundraising, due diligence or investor reporting.
- Experience setting up finance in a new market or entity.
- Experience building or specifying automations or AI workflows for finance.
