Reimagine access. Reimagine ownership. Build the future with Cinch.
Cinch is building Asia's largest Device-as-a-Service (DaaS) platform. We believe people and businesses should be able to use great technology without having to own it. When usage is separate from ownership, every device can be used, recovered, refurbished and sent back out. This cuts e-waste and makes premium tech more affordable and flexible.
We're a Series A company moving fast from product-market fit to scale. We're not just a software business: we handle physical devices, logistics, refurbishment and financing, all running on one platform.
About The Role
We're looking for a Commercial Project Manager to drive Cinch's commercial initiatives in Japan. This is a hands-on execution role, not a back-office coordination one — you'll be the person on the ground turning partnership conversations into signed pilots, and pilots into running commercial operations, working closely with the General Manager, Japan.
You'll help translate market strategy into on-the-ground commercial execution — partnerships, pilots, and early operational processes — as Cinch builds out its presence in Japan. You'll need to be comfortable with ambiguity, wearing multiple hats, and moving fast in a market that's still being built out.
What You'll Do

You'll need to be comfortable with ambiguity, wearing multiple hats, and moving fast in a market that's still being built out.
What You'll Do
Commercial Project Delivery
- Own end-to-end delivery of Cinch's priority commercial projects in Japan — partner pilots, market-entry workstreams, and go-to-market launches — from scoping through execution
- Build and manage project plans, timelines, and risk logs, keeping initiatives on track across multiple concurrent workstreams
- Work directly with prospective partners (OEMs, telcos, retailers, fintechs) in Japan to scope, negotiate, and stand up commercial pilots and agreements
- Support the commercial case for each initiative — pricing, unit economics, and expected impact — not just the delivery plan
- Coordinate with the General Manager, Japan and cross-functional leads to ensure Japan initiatives land on time and to spec
- Flag blockers and dependencies early, and drive them to resolution rather than just reporting on them
- Gather on-the-ground market, competitor, and partner intelligence to inform Cinch's Japan strategy
- Report regularly to the General Manager, Japan on project status, commercial outcomes, and market learnings
- Help stand up initial local processes as needed during market entry — vendor onboarding, compliance touchpoints, and basic operational workflows
Must-Have
- 5–8 years of experience in commercial project management, business development, or GTM execution — ideally including a market-entry or new-market launch context
- Strong project management skills — able to manage multiple cross-functional workstreams simultaneously, on time and to scope
- Genuine commercial acumen — comfortable shaping and negotiating deal terms, not just tracking a project plan
- Experience in at least one of: fintech, telco, consumer electronics, DaaS/SaaS, device financing, or tech distribution
- Fluent Japanese and business-level English, to operate both in-market and with the wider Cinch team
- Experience supporting a new-country or new-market launch for a fast-growing startup
- Existing network across Japanese OEMs, telcos, retailers, or fintech partners
- Comfort working in a newly-established, still-forming local team structure
- Formal project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus, but hands-on delivery experience matters more
