Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including GL, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end close processes.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Analyze business unit performance, particularly for recurring revenue models (e.g., subscription services) and asset lifecycle profitability.
- Provide insights into revenue recognition related to device subscriptions, managed services, and trade-in programs.
Revenue & Cost Management
- Monitor revenue streams and COGS across multiple business lines including subscriptions, trade-ins, and managed services.
- Track device depreciation and residual value forecasting to support full lifecycle asset management.
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with local tax, audit, and regulatory requirements.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of internal controls and accounting policies.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants.
Process Improvement & Systems
- Assist in the development and optimization of financial processes and systems, including ERP or accounting platforms.
- Lead automation efforts to streamline reporting and improve data integrity.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant accounting and finance experience, preferably in tech, services, or subscription-based businesses.
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition (IFRS 15/ASC 606), cost accounting, and asset lifecycle management.
- Proficient in financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience managing or mentoring junior finance staff is a plus.
