What will you be doing?

We are looking for a standout, dynamic, multi skilled and organised senior leader with compliance and programme management experience. The Compliance Programme Manager will play a key leadership role within BCB’s Group Compliance function, ensuring both day to day and strategic compliance objectives are met. Reporting directly to the Group Head of Compliance, this role holder will act as deputy as and when required and will sit in both the compliance leadership team and BCB’s senior leadership team.

This position requires exceptional leadership skills, regulatory expertise, attention to detail, stakeholder management skills at all levels and capable of managing initiatives to time, cost and scope.

Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Leadership & oversight of the full Compliance programme including AML, Internal audit & assurance, Risk and Regulatory Compliance.
  • People management and mentoring to members of the Compliance team.
  • Collaboration, fostering and growing a collaborative Compliance team work whilst having oversight of all compliance projects and initiatives.
  • Driving and developing AML & TF, Compliance & Risk MI.
  • Provide end-to-end compliance coverage for all BCB Group entities, including advising on conduct risk, GDPR, operational risk management, Safeguarding and AML/CTF and regulatory reporting as required.
  • Prepare and present audit findings/reports, ensuring timely follow-up on recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Develop & maintain strong relationships with regulators, external auditors and other relevant stakeholders to ensure BCB Group ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Act as one of the points of contacts for regulatory inquiries and support the Group Head of Compliance in managing external audits and inspections.
  • Assist the Group Head of Compliance and other function SME’s in strategic decision-making, offering expertise and insights on complex regulatory issues and compliance matters.
  • Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and take appropriate action to ensure that BCB Group adapts to the new or amended requirements, advising senior leadership on necessary actions.
  • Provide compliance advice to the business leaders and other functions,, ensuring compliance considerations are incorporated into strategic projects and business decisions.

If you can demonstrate some of the following experience/skills below, we would love to have a conversation.

  • A professional with a proven background in managing compliance or risk management and financial regulation with at least 7 years experience in similar roles.
  • A people manager with at least 5 years experience, comfortable with coaching and developing high performing teams and managing difficult conversations as required
  • Problem solver, with strong analytical skills. Ability to think critically and strategically, advising senior management on compliance and risk issues that may affect the organisation.
  • Project/programme management skills with the focus of identifying risks and developing practical, effective mitigating solutions
  • Continuous improvement ability with a lean approach on day to day processes within the function, always seeking to drive process improvement and excellence.
  • Team player both within the function and BCB across all verticals to foster productive relationships at all levels and with all functions.
