Stitch is a payments infrastructure company on a mission to make it easier for enterprise businesses to connect to the financial system and build better experiences for their customers.

We are expanding the team to enable Stitch to broaden our product offering and extend our geographical footprint.

About WigWag: WigWag is an early-stage startup within the Stitch group that leverages Stitch's technical infrastructure to make payments easy for entrepreneurs and startups. As a challenger in the payments space, we compete with incumbent players and strive to provide a better user experience through great products, tech and support.

Job Description: We are seeking a Product Designer and Manager to join our growing team. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience and functionality of our payment solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, growth, and customer support to define, design, and deliver best-in-class products that meet the needs of our users and drive business growth.

Responsibilities:

  1. Product Design: Lead the end-to-end design process from ideation to execution, including conceptualization, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
  2. Product management: Define product specifications that will guide tech specs and engineering builds as well as inform other areas of the business, like Support and Growth, on the new solution. You would also work closely with engineering team members to ensure timely delivery of product features and enhancements.
  3. User Research: Conduct user research to gain insights into user behaviors, needs, and pain points. Use research findings to inform product decisions and design solutions that address user needs.
  4. UI/UX Design: Create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces that enhance user satisfaction and engagement. Ensure consistency and coherence across all product touchpoints.
  5. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, growth, and customer support to align product strategies and priorities. Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  6. Testing and Iteration: Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iterate and improve product designs. Continuously monitor key performance metrics and user feedback to identify opportunities for optimization.
  7. Stay Updated: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product design and management. Apply new insights and learnings to drive innovation and improvement.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in product design and management in the fintech or payments industry. Ideally small to medium business payments.
  2. Design Skills: Proficiency in design tools such as Figma. Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles and best practices.
  3. Technical Skills: Basic understanding of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is preferred but not required. Ability to build in low code solutions like Webflow is also a bonus.
  4. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to use data and metrics to inform product decisions and measure success.
  5. Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts to cross-functional teams.
  6. Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment. Willingness to take on new challenges and adapt to changing priorities.
